The Muses of Terpsicorps is a student performing company comprised of
students of Center Stage Dance Studio.  Heather Maloy, artistic director of
the professional ballet company, Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance, directs
rehearsals and plans the repertoire for the company.  Rehearsals are run in
a professional manner with members expected to not only attend rehearsals,
but treat every day in the studio with the dedication and focus befitting a
professional dancer.

The works danced by the students are a combination of classical ballet
repertoire and original contemporary choreography created by Heather Maloy.Much like most ballet companies in the United States today, the dancers get a chance to show their versatility through the range of styles they have the opportunity to perform.

Company members will have opportunities throughout the school year to
perform at various events and fundraisers with a focus on contributing to
worthwhile community causes.  The season culminates in a show at the
beautiful Diana Wortham Theatre, showcasing the works they have been
rehearsing and perfecting throughout the year.

This is a remarkable opportunity for any student who wants to experience the
dedication and reward of working in a professional atmosphere.  The program
is highly recommended for any young dancer who aspires to pursue dance as a
career, and for those who simply love to dance and want to get the very most
out of their years of dance training and hard work.
